GEMS Generator Economic Management System

GEMS Generator Economic Management System is a software designed for monitoring flows and historical data across the electrical grid in real time. It allows viewing of statistics and instantaneous control over the grid particularly in case of emergencies.

The GEMS suite consists of 3 components:

iX-RMS

A Data Acquisition System which reads meter's data for real time viewing, reporting and Economic Load Dispatch (through iX-ELD).

iX-ELD

An Economic Load Dispatch System which uses iX-RMS data to provide optimal dispatch and forecasting decision support information in real time as well as simulation and analysis.

iX-Shift Log

An Event and Activity Management System to track utility events through automatic input from the Customers SCADAs, iX-RMS and manual operator entry.

The system is also self-monitoring providing software system health alerts to minimize down-time and data loss as well provide user-specified alerts on utility system health. These alerts can be by email, SMS or through the mobile app.
